Artist OpportunitiesRequest for Expressions of Interest & Statement of QualificationsFor Coast Salish Artists This Request for Expressions of Interest and Statement of Qualifications is issued by Hillsboro Investments Ltd. to invite interested professional artists of Coast Salish ancestry to submit their credentials for consideration by Hillsboro’s Selection Panel. This Call is open only to Coast Salish Artists located in British Columbia. To support the commitment to Coast Salish culture and artwork, this site has been identified for the installation of Coast Salish artwork. The artwork program intends to commission distinctive, meritorious works by exemplary Coast Salish artists for locations within River Green a new community to be developed by Hillsboro Investments Ltd. in Richmond, BC. The created artworks will be a response to the artists’ own thoughtful and creative interpretation of the site and the setting. It will tell the Coast Salish story of the waterfront, providing a context for understanding a place imbued with ancestors, myths, spirit, the past, the present and the future. It will become a place reflecting the culture, ecology and architecture.
